Consider the Arizona Sonora Desert museum as a stop. Its just
outside Saguaro NP West and is superb

http://www.desertmuseum.org/

Day 01 Fly from Brussels direction Phoenix would be better.
Day 02 Drive to Tucson, visit Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and return
to Scottsdale (my wife likes shopping in downtown Scottsdale...)

Our wifes love shopping you know.

What level of shopping? Things in Sedona tend to be a bit dear.

Oh, dear. You will miss southern Arizona that way. A little like
flying to Paris to see the Louvre then moving on.

You won't miss anything else in Paris, it's dirty and expensive :-(((((

When we visited Sedona in 2000, we bought some T-shirts and we had a very

good lunch.
She also loves the trading post in Cameron but that's a bit out of the way

now, there we
left the shop with a suitcase full of T-shirts.

There is a GIANT flea market/swap meet on weekends in Phoenix at the Dog
Race Track. All sorts of Southwest items, Tshirts, tools, cactus,
crafts..If you like Tshirts- Hi quality "latex vs "paint" screened Tshirts
with very nice graphics we going ofr under $ 5.00 there. These are the type
that go for 29.95 at the upscale tourist shops
