That's just nonsense. Continental does not care if it's a small
market to small market (in fact, all of the flights involve both of
Continental's major hubs), and the fact of the matter is that the
color-coded calendar does come up and there is plenty of standard
award availability between YHZ and LBB provided a Saturday-night stay
is included. This is not rocket science.

The web site reads saver pass economy should be yellow and business class

Are you logged in when you do the search? It could be that
I see different availability because of my elite status, because
I am certainly seeing plenty of yellow in the calendar.

If I were you, I would just call CO and get it done by phone.

Thanks folks .
I am logged in when checking for seats and I will be staying over a
Saturday . I have travelled the route from Hfx to Lubbock on several
occasions and did have the colour coding on the calendar resulting in me
booking saver pass seats at only 25000 miles total . I will definitely call
CO . It is annoying that I need to pay $25.00 per ticket to have the rep
make a reservation when I could do it myself for free if I could see
availability

Isn't the web wonderful when and if it works .

This is what I see (a capture of my screen):

http://tinyurl.com/5kxvnw

The dates in yellow are the ones when a standard (SaverPass) economy
award is available.

Nice to see someone can view the saver fares for my route . Maybe because
you are an elite member but I think the site is screwed . Maybe they forgot
to allow Canadians access to the colour coded calendar and all the seats
available . Poor web design in my opinion

Thanks for showing me . I don't know how to show you what I see or I would
add the link

Yes but I don't see any dates in blue which I believe is what was
wanted. I didn't say there weren't standard fares available but that
there weren't the lower cost fares available.

So I still don't see that what I said is "nonsense."

Read the left side of the big dark-yellow box. Blue means that
SaverPass First/BusinessFirst awards are available and, indeed,
nothing is available.

But they did not want an award in First. They wanted an economy award.
The dates on which SaverPass economy awards are available are marked
in yellow on the calendar.

I didn't say there weren't standard fares available but that
there weren't the lower cost fares available.

There is nothing lower than SaverPass Economy on Continental (25K
miles roundtrip in the lower 48, Canada and I think Alaska).

There used to be. That 25K is for each way on a RT. 50K total. Not too
long ago, CO had a 12.5K each way for 25K RT. Since the prices went up, I
think they've eliminated it. The 25K RT is the one the OP used to use, but
can no longer find.

False. SaverPass is 12.5K each way on a RT, 25K total, and it's still
available. For example, see this screenshot that I took a couple of
minutes ago:

http://tinyurl.com/622zro

It clearly shows availability between YHZ and LBB for 12.5K miles
each way.

False. See the current OnePass award chart:
