Default India to Western Europe on a motorcycle (Bullet Enfield); is it possible?

Has anyone made this trek before? If so, any advice? My plan is to
purchase a Royal Enfield in India then drive to and across Europe. I'd
preferably like to travel via China, Khazakhstan, and Russia. However,
I do not know if this is all that feasible. Thus, would it be better
to go through Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey?

Sounds like a great project. I'm sure you're doing your homework, but
some suggestions if I may:
- buy a 500cc, and the army model if you can.
- get as much critical spare parts as you can, because as soon as you
leave India, it will be an exotic model and maintenance if needed may
seriously delay your trip.
- do some research about the terrain and weather conditions at the
estimated dates per regions.
- go to
http://horizonsunlimited.com/ and browse and read extensively
the postings and trip reports. This is a real mine of information,
frequented by experienced world travellers. There are also some forums
where you can ask questions. I'm sure several people have first hand
experience about the trip you want to do.

And also, it would be me, I would try to find a travel companion. It
helps in many ways, an important one being to be less vulnerable in
delicate situations like breakdowns, border crossings, etc...
And once in India, you may reconsider your choice of bike. Maybe find a
BMW airhead, which may be more reliable.

In any case, I think it's a great project, a one-in-a-lifetime kind.
I hope you'll do it, and wish you the best.

I had a Royal Enfield Bullet 30+ years ago. They used to call it the
Royal Oilfield with very good reason.

Good luck.

That's why the Brits don't make computers, they could not find a way to
make them leak oil...
