No-show penalties and contacting Cathay Pacific
david wrote: Has anyone found a way to contact this airline by email, or any way of speaking with them from mainland China? Their website publishes two (or three) toll-free numbers to be used in China, but none of them work. (I tried them thousands of times.) They also give a number at Beijing airport, but this number belonged to a separate ground-service agency, ie a different company. Why not email a friend who can contact them? Have you tried calling them via a non toll free number Here are the voice and fax numbers in Bejing. This is for reservations/ticketing. T: 86-10-84868532 F: 86-10-84861701 You might also try calling them in HK if you can't reach them in Bejing. http://www.cathaypacific.com/intl/co...ns/0,,,00.html Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd Customer Relations Department 5/F, South Tower, Cathay Pacific City, 8 Scenic Road, Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau Island, Hong Kong Tel: (852) 2747-5563 (English) (852) 2747-5579 (Chinese) Fax: (852) 2596-0825 As a result of these problems, I was unable to tell them that I would be unable to make my flight out of Hong Kong and would need to change the date. My ticket (booking class M) does allow date changes, but might I still be liable for some kind of no-show penalty? Any suggestions on how to handle this situation and if possible minimise or avoid penalties? With thanks. |
