No-show penalties and contacting Cathay Pacific

Why not email a friend who can contact them?
Have you tried calling them via a non toll free number

As a result of these problems, I was unable to tell them that I would
be unable to make my flight out of Hong Kong and would need to change
the date. My ticket (booking class M) does allow date changes, but
might I still be liable for some kind of no-show penalty? Any
suggestions on how to handle this situation and if possible minimise
or avoid penalties?
