seat blocking problem
HI!
I am planning to go to toronto in this summers by "air canada" but the problem is that i cant block a ticket for the returning date which is 29 july 2006. My travel agent says that "air canada" do not give any deadline before which the block is valid. So now as all the seats for the 29 th july toronto - delhi fligjt have been booked what do i do to buy the ticket for that date because i cant wait till someone releases a seat. Please help me out. Book for the nearest available flight which can be confirmed, and ask them to put you on the waitlist for the 29th July flight. And experience shows that more often than not the waitlist will clear when you do it this far ahead of the flight. Many people book multiple flights several months ahead of time because they don't know their schedules. When they actually ticket then the other flights get released. Personally I think that people should be charged for this. If they book flights way in advance then cancel them there should be a fee. (Maybe you get one a year without charge or something.) A lot of business travellers do this regularly and it creates chaos for others (like the original poster). |
