Default Cayman Island Beach

Just back from a stay at the Regal Beach Club on 7 Mile Beach. The
condo were very nice, but even more important the beach was really
good.

We stayed at the Westin about a year ago which had a very big wide
beach. However, entering the water was a pain (literally), since
there
was lots of sharp rocks and broken coral everywhere. Further down
towards town, particularly near the Regal Beach and the Marriott, the
beach was horrible. Little sand, lots of rocks both on shore and in
the
water. Entry to the water was almost impossible without some sort of
foot protection.

Well, what a difference a year made!!! Although the Marriott still
has
very little beach, the sand in front of the Regal Beach is ample.
More
importantly, walking into the water from either place, is great. The
sand under the water is very smooth and extends way out.

Not sure what happened, but it sure made a big difference. We did
walk
back along the beach to the Westin and, although it is still very nice

and big, it did seem much smaller that last year. Looks like somehow
the sand got redistributed much to the benefit of Regal Beach.

We had heard of the change which was why we gave the well priced Regal

Beach a try. Glad we did.
