Default Conversation with Ryanair

Ring Ring,... click

"Hello Ryanair, this call is charged at 25p per minute[1], how can I
help you"
"Hello, I wonder if you could tell me how I can carry on a breakable
oversized item?"
"Sorry you can't do that sir"
"But it says on your web site that I can book an extra seat for it [2]
and that I have to ring the reservations centre to do this"
"I'll check" 25 pence wait "What is it that you want to carry sir?"
"A computer, it only just above the carry on size [3], but for obvious
reasons I don't want to check it"
"Oh, you can't have a computer as carry on sir"
"Eh, that can't be right, 100s of people each day carry on a computer"
"I'll check" 25 pence wait "No you can't carry on a computer"
"Why ever not, what rule are these 100s of people breaking? There's
nothing about this on your baggage restrictions page."
"I'll check" 25 pence wait "no, no computers sir"
"Why not?"
"It might fall out and hit someone sir"
"But it's not going to be in a locker it's going to be on the floor in front
of the extra seat that I have paid for"
"But it still might fall and hit someone sir"
"What a stupid rule, Goodbye"

Gves up, books one ticket at 19.95 plus 5 quid for the luggage.
I'll obviously have to take it apart and carry it on in bits, whilst
checking the case in in a suitcase.
Gordon Ramsey ******* ******* /Gordon Ramsey.

[1] No it isn't because my phone provider wouldn't let me dial that
number. I had to find a 'normal' number to ring.
[2] 19.95 per seat at that time. That's return, I only need the extra
seat one way.
[3] I hadn't measured it before I phoned, but I have now, 2 cms too
high! bugger! It also weighs less than the carry on allowance. WTP?
