Default Motorhome parking San Diego

Planning on arriving at the Port of San Diego in January for our
Celebrity cruise. Will be in a 32 foot Motorhome. Can anyone advise where
nearby convenient and safe parking may be found?

United Port of San Diego: Cruise Ship Terminal Parking...

Passengers arriving by personal vehicle may NOT park on the pier while on
your cruise. However, short & long term parking is available at the
following locations:
http://www.portofsandiego.org/sandie...se/parking.asp.

I hope this helps.

John.

Short of making a telephone call, I don't see any reference to
motorhome parking at the above web site.

Hi Ed

Just to point out, John is only an ACC and associated through an affiliation
which is registered with CLIA. He only read what he wanted in your post. In
other words, he knows nothing and needs to make a call to get answers for
you. I think it best to take this matter in your own hands and call ahead or
check into a Wally World Parking Lot.

Yes, sounds like I do need to make a few phone calls instead of relying
on getting a useful response here, and other forums, too. I must say I
am surprised at the lack of response from motorhome operators who have
taken cruises out of San Diego. I would have thought there would be a few
of them around to offer advice.

Thanks to all for responses, anyway.

Dude ... you GOT a response! You just didn't happen to like it! He
gave yo a link for a place to call. Did you want HIM to make the call
for you??

Besides, this is a CRUISE newsgroup. If you want motorhome specifics,
then go to alt.motorhomes

If someone knew the answer you would have gotten a useful response. It
is likely no motorhome operators that read the newsgroup have parked it
there. Something like that you would be better off phoning and getting
an answer from the lot operators. You would not want to show up at the
lot with a motorhome on second hand info anyway.

Ed,

To add to my earlier response, and after a bit more research on your behalf,
I discovered the nearest RV parking is located about 8 miles from the Cruise
Ship Terminal. It's called Campland on the Bay RV & Tent, and you may
contact them at (800) 422-9386. Now, the rest is up to you.

Yeah, he gave me a response that contained NO information pertinent to
my posted question.... and the web site he referenced contained nothing
useful, either. And yes, I did end up calling the Port. They were of no
help either! No Motorhome parking from them.

So as a result, I still stand by my claim that there have been no useful
responses here.

Thank you, John. I have noted that info in case I need it.

But for any others interested, I have called most of the listed Parking
in the San Diego airport and port areas with mostly negative results.

However, Lindbergh Parking, near the airport, does have very reasonable
parking for motorhomes and other large RVs. They are about two miles north
of the port. I will probably be using them.
