Default Chicago to Niagara Falls

I am planning a driving trip from the Chicago area to Niagara Falls
(planning to stay on the Canadian side). My Street Atlas program routes me
through Michigan, crossing over at Port Huron Michigan to Canada, then
driving on Canadian road to Niagara Falls. Is this place fairly busy to
cross over, or do people suggest driving on I-90 on the U.S. side and cross
over at Niagara Falls N.Y.?

Thanks

Port Huron-Sarnia is the way to go. Then take 402 to 401 to 403 to QEW.
Don't take Highway #3 or anything other than 403-QEW as they are much
slower. That is unless you want a slow more scenic route.

Take the Port Huron route. The bad news: you miss Cleveland, Eire and
Buffalo. The good news: you miss Cleveland, Eire, and Buffalo. Seriously
the crossing at Prot Huron has never been a problem for me.
