TransStates (American Connection at STL and at least one other airline's
commuter) is Waterski (they started out years ago as Resort Air flying in
the area around Lake of the Ozarks), and American Eagle is Eagle Flight.

Thanks everyone. Another related question

Is American Eagle one airline nationwide? I know United Express
flights go by the call sign of the individual airlines that make up
UE...eg Air Wisconsin

I don't hear "Eagle flight" as often as I would expect if it was all
AE flights. Perhaps its one regions's American Eagle?

Yes, American Eagle is one airline nationwide and is also owned by AMR.
American Connection is the brand that uses other airlines such as Trans
States, the airline that used to run Trans World Express flights out of STL.
