Default CCL ES OBC Question for TA's

What does this mean in CCL's FAQ section 'non-refundable, non-
transferable onboard credit'?

I just caught a lower price for my cruise and will be getting a $420
OBC for it. Does the CCL wording mean I have to spend it on board or
just lose it? Or if I don't use it all will I get a refund check sent
to me?

After seeing their wording I'm not sure I'm liking ES program any
longer.

TIA

Use it or Loose it. I don't know who ES is...but in my experience On
Board Credit on most cruise line ships is just that - Use it on board.
Check with the cruise line. You may be able to use it on future cruises
with them.

There are generally two types of OBC but most are non-refundable (the
exception would be if someone deposited some in their account either in
advance for themselves, or from someone else as a gift). Remember you
can pay your tips from it, and any excursions (if you don't do them on
your own) and bar (if you drink much). Worst case, you can withdraw it
at the casino, although you'll probably pay a fee of a few percent (but
it's better than losing the money completely).

Interesting idea about spending it on a future cruise deposit, although
I am not sure that will work unless the deposit actually gets charged to
your current account, which I know it has not on RCI/Celebrity
