Keep track of your trip on a website and generate an an online trip log automatically
When you're on a trip you might want to log the trip by using a GPS. You can
use offline devices such as loggers but for the friends and family at home it could be fun to use an online device to report yuor position directly to a website. How does that work? You use a device like the GMAX 1201 as tested on POI66.com recently. http://www.poi66.com/maps/test?nr=32 More devices at www.livetriptracking.com. We currently support about 50 ways of sending your position in all popular formats. That device has an emergency phone built in, and is highly programmable to send your position to the POI66 server to be displayed in your private album on the web. You can easily deep-link from your home page to this engine. It's all free, no spam, no extra fees but the device you'll be using. We don't sell. We just support because it's fun. We can maintain the website from a few banner clicks a day. Take a look at the first free and world-wide Live Trip Tracking website POI66 at www.poi66.com and see: - a guy that goes to Siberia by motorbike - two friends walk the Santiago path - camper trips that go from Europe to Africa and Turkey - people sailing in Greece - people walking the bottom of the Waddensea in Holland __________________ www.poi66.com - track, trails, waypoint sets and real-time trip logging. Its fun! |
