The Dungeon is the disco. Usually one of the most hopping spots on the
Vogager class ships. You probably were in bed when all the action was
taking place there.

I see you know Tom well, when the disco would be hopping, he would be
outside watching the stars(grin).

Or checking out the art collection on the ship... or tracking the route
using my GPS and a navigation chart.

Thats for sure. If you hadn't been outside the first night on the
Zenith, we would of missed seeing the wonderful sky.

What is the Dungeon??

Hi Sue,

I will assume that the Dungeon on the Navigator is the same space as the
Chamber on the Explorer. This was the most awesome disco I have ever
danced in on a ship. It was a rather large 2 story space, decorated to
resemble a medieval dungeon. There were torches around the perimeter of
the space, made out of orange silk, that blew in the cool breeze created
by the air conditioning. The sound system was phenomenal and the DJ was
wonderful. The club stayed open until 4 am. But by far, the best thing
about the space was the dance floor. It was large and all hardwood.
Ask any dancer, not just me, and they will tell you that nothing
compares with a good wood dance floor.

In short, it was my favorite ships disco. Having danced all over Europe
and the US, the only better place that I have danced on land, was a
place in Montreal called the cathedral. It was actually an old gothic
style Catholic church that had been converted into a club and the
acoustics were incredible.

Howie - wishes there were a dungeon or chamber on every ship.

Thanks Stuck. The pictures were really nice and the music is a nice touch.
Fortunately I already had the player as my daughter put pictures of my
grandson on one of those photo parades or whatever they're called.

I have a short photo parade of the Mariner of Seas at the following web
site. She and the Navigator are sister ships. You will also need the

free
viewer from http://www.photoparade.com/player.asp

The photo show is located on:
http://home.cfl.rr.com/w4rjd/

This is my first attempt at this and please excuse the mistakes.

Sounds like a very cool place! If we ever sail the Navigator, we will
have to check it out. We are not much for the disco scene, you wouldn't
want to see kevin dancing(grin). Also since I have CFS, I use all my
energy during the day and by the time the disco is hoping, I am ready
for sleep.

Or checking his GPS or scrutinizing how the ship was put together. Am I
right, Tom??!

Ahh, Sue, the way my CFS and I handle the energy problem is to relax in
the casino all day, saving my precious little energy for the disco and
other late night activities!

I really think that it is one of the nicest areas of the ship. I don't
like disco, but this is a great venue, IMO. And it was hopping when I
was on the Explorer.

That's true, with his GPS. But he wouldn't be in bed. Tom also reads a
lot on cruises.

It's not scrutiny, it is noticing things based on a perspective that is
analytical. I know you say this with a smiley but I think many people
misinterpret what I do on cruises, as well as Tom. For the most part,
Tom and I are like most people, laughing, socializing, relaxing,
enjoying the cruise. When we make a report we've noticed certain things
and report them. We don't at all dwell on them during the cruise (though
we will talk about the quality of the food, etc.)

I was in cabin 9692, port side. You may be in the same cabin on the
other side. Good location IMO.

Only problem with places like Schooner bar was the smoke cloud hanging
in the air.

Get a sunscreen with Parsol, minimum SPF 30. I like the PreSun Gel. I
find that it doesn't run into your eyes during the day. Parsol provides
both UVA and UVB protection.

Tom,

Thanks for the follow-up. Yes, we have the exact same cabin, starboard. And
as I read the paragraph description you wrote to Craig, I noted the mention
of partial shade. I missed that last time. Whoopee! That's the best news
I've heard--my fav balc yet was the half shade/half sun Caribe deck balcony
on the Dawn Princess.

Thanks for the Parsol tip. I had already discovered it--I'm a fair, freckled
red head. Well...those hairs *were* red!

Diana
