Default Public Transportation in Vienna

The Michelin Green Guide says that tickets may be used on any mode of
transportation - within the Bereich 100. I've looked high and low
through the book to find what the " Bereich 100" is/are and where. No
luck.

If you look at this pdf map:
http://www.vor.at/bilder/tarifzonen.pdf
the area in white is Tarifzone100--it's pretty much the main part of the
city including beyond both the Westbahnhof and Prater and beyond, though not
as far as the airport.

This is for those who really know Vienna.

I'd like to know so I can see just how far we can travel on the normal
tickets.

Thanks.

Far from easy to read ot but the tarifzonenplan
http://progs.wiennet.at/addedvalue/f...ID=153&HID=340
is probably what you're looking for

Buy a day or multi-day pass. The U-Bahn and tram networks are
so useful you will discover that you want to use them a lot. The
passes enable you to use the entire U-Bahn network. I love the
Vienna public transit system.
