To chose between Maldives\Seychelles
If some diving, some snorkeling and a lot of easy going relaxiation were on
the proposed travel menu and the month was Decmeber\January would anyone recommend one over the other? Costwise, big differences? |

Costwise, big differences? Some time since I've been to either but the Seychelles is expensive. If you do go there, its really worth trying to see more than one island (Bird was my favourite) which puts cost up more. I wasnt a diver when we went there, but I thnk the diving isnt as good as Maldives in general, I think, tho Denis Island and Des Roches have the best in the Seychelles. Maldive islands are SMALL; you can walk round many of them in about 30 mins, and there isnt a lot to do apart from snorkel/dive, and you are 'trapped' on the island - all-incl is the way to go as drinks (even soft ones) are very expensive. When we went to Maldives (Villi-Varu) I was very disappointed in the food - lack of fresh veg and fresh fruit. Food on Seychelles was very good. -- Rita Daggett |
