Default Short transfer at LHR - advice?

I will be arriving at T3 at 0635 on a Saturday morning, with British
Airways from Miami. I then need to make an outward flight to Lisbon
with TAP, departing T2 at 0830.

I am a British passport holder, and I will be travelling with carry-on
only.

The flights will be ticketed separately, with e-tickets on the Lisbon
sector. What I can't work out from the baa website is whether I can
make this transfer entirely on the airside, using the flight
connections centre. Will I be able to check in for TAP at the FCC, or
will I need to go around to check in at the front desks?

Any advice appreciated.

GC

Cross-posted to somewhere where Mr L. should be able to provide a good
answer.

I *think* you should be able to check in at the FCC. The FCC does have
check-in facilities for those who haven't yet got a boarding pass, and as
you're hand luggage only, no issue there. You generally need to show onward
boarding pass *or* ticket to get access to the FCC, so no worries there.

Anyone know who handles TAP at LHR?

Unfortunately I didn't see this until I got home from the airport. I need to
check before giving an answer as for the life of me I can't picture the TAP
desk in the FCC, and don't want to say there isn't one without double
checking.

I'll look tomorrow when I'm back at work and rely then.

The internet isn't necessarily more reliable than asking TAP or the
BAA by phone.....

Good job I checked. :-)

TAP is Desk 36 in the FCC, providing carry on bag only.

After you go through the security search the desk is about half way down on
the right.

Thanks for taking the time to find this out; due to some poor
organisation you may notice me sprinting through the FCC a total of
three times next weekend, and little details like this always help.

Rgds,

GC
