"Iceman" schreef in bericht ... I was wondering, do people go on special tours to see hippos? I would think they would not be allowed, because I heard that hippos have been known to bite both people and boats into two. Thank you for your insight! I've heard that hippos kill more safari tourists than any other animal. As long as you stay in the car, there is no problem whatsoever. The animals do not recognise people in a car and not bothered about cars at all. Even open vehicles are perfectly safe and are widely used on safari's. Just stay seated and do not stick your limbs out of the car. After sunset do not use a flashlight when taking pictures of hippos. They are easily blinded and will run in any direction which may mean into the car -- ------- Eddy read my trip reports on www.couvreur.demon/travel when replying directly remove *nosp@m* from my e-mail address!! lees mijn reisverslagen op www.couvreur.demon.nl/reizen bij direct antwoord *nosp@am* uit mijn e-mail adres verwijderen!! |
