"Two private investigators working independently are asking why
President Obama is using a Social Security number set aside for
applicants in Connecticut while there is no record he ever had a
mailing address in the state.

In addition, the records indicate the number was issued between 1977
and 1979, yet Obama's earliest employment reportedly was in 1975 at a
Baskin-Robbins ice-cream shop in Oahu, Hawaii....

......The Social Security website confirms the first three numbers in
his ID are reserved for applicants with Connecticut addresses,
040-049.

Since 1973, Social Security numbers have been issued by our central
office," the Social Security website explains. "The first three (3)
digits of a person's social security number are determined by the ZIP
code of the mailing address shown on the application for a social

The first three numbers represent the state the receipent was born in
(after 1976). Prior to that date, you could live in one state and your
father in another ..under the following circumstances..... Dad is in
the military after getting drafted. You live Kenya. Your dad puts in
for an military allotment for his wife and child while stationed
in ....say...ooo...mmm Florida.

Dad goes to the proper office. The clerk asks for the wifes social
security number. You give it to him. Then he asks for you sons Social
Security number. You tell him that he has not filed fopr one yet. Not
to worry says the clerk, we can take car of it for you right here and
now. Since you are Florida, the fruit of your loins gets one of the
social security numbers starting with the appropriate three numbers.
Junior may never go to Florida for any reason..... ever.... but he
still has a SS number issued for Florida. (It made conducting a
background investigation hell)

After 1976 you got you social security number issued at the hospital
where you were born. The reason for this set up was so the newborn
would instantly qualifiy for givernement benefits thru his mother
whose social security is linked to yours through the massive SS
network.

More Trivia
The 700 block of social security numbers was allotted to transient
railword workers in the 30s and 40's. You dont see many of them now.
