rate hostel website?
I see a bunch of sites that list hostels, is there a site that rates them in
some way? with like reviews? The last thing I want to do is bust my ass to find some hostel that just ends up being a hole, or my stuff is stolen through some "inside job".

There are several, but I found that the most useful by far is www.bugeurope.com. It has the most complete list of hostels and the most reviews for each hostel on average.
