cheaper Bangkok->Germany->Bangkok than Germany->Bangkok->Germany air tickets?

Someone told me that it's alot cheaper to go this way, than the other
(Germany-Bangkok-Germany. Does anybody have an experience with this?

Not with Germany in particular, but in general a round-trip from Bangkok to
city X is a lot cheaper than the other way around. At least if you shop a
bit.

my opinion, it works if you go every month, but for a single trip ?

It's true, and it's usually about a US$ 200-300 difference.

Bangkok is full of discount travel agencies, and the competition
between them and between airlines keeps prices low. Loads of
European, Middle Eastern, and Asian airlines will fly someone cheaply
from Bangkok through their hub to the major European cities.

Germany is generally one of the most expensive places in Western
Europe for intercontinental flights. While a large number of airlines
fly Frankfurt-their hub-Bangkok, Asian routes from Frankfurt are
used extensively by business travellers who are willing to pay higher
prices, so travel agencies and airlines don't give large discounts on
those routes.

minute. How much is BKK - FRA?
