Default cheaper Bangkok->Germany->Bangkok than Germany->Bangkok->Germany air tickets?

Someone told me that it's alot cheaper to go this way, than the other
(Germany-Bangkok-Germany. Does anybody have an experience with this?

Not with Germany in particular, but in general a round-trip from Bangkok to
city X is a lot cheaper than the other way around. At least if you shop a
bit.

but how to get there cheap first ?

my opinion, it works if you go every month, but for a single trip ?
