Time to transfer from PVG to SHA?
I was planning to go to XMN via Shanghai. Looking at schedules at vcts360.com, it did appear that there were flights from Pudong to XMN. However a more careful check seems to indicate that all nonstop flights from Shanghai to Xiamen leave from the old airport. Not necessarily a big deal, especially since I'll bring along my personal interpreter :-). Looks like the distance between the two airports is 40 km, and the shuttle charges RMB 30/head. Question is, though, how long does the transfer take? Specifically, on a Saturday afternoon early July, arriving shortly after 3 pm. |

In shanghai, the flight to XMN all depart from SHA. And you're right, there has the shuttle bus but it seems 20/head, not 30/head. The transfer usually takes at leat about one hour and a half. And actually, it is hard to say, on saturday afternoon the traffic situation is more changable than usual. Thanks. I think I read somewhere a cab ride would be much faster, about 40 minutes? Would the fastest be to take the maglev train and then a cab? |
