Thanks EJ If you have a friend from Taiwan, ask for some Chinese newspaper, where I am sure you will find advertisements of travel agencies, who sell cheap flight tickets. The American travel agencies could NEVER compete with their Taiwanese rival in price.

Thanks EJ I'd check sidestep.com, as often it's a combination of carriers for the best price, a better price than you can get from a single carrier. Often code-sharing flights have different prices even though you're on the same actual planes. I'd avoid certain airlines to Taiwan. See "http://www.airsafe.com/events/regions/asia.htm"

I avoid American carriers because they would be targets for muslim terrorists, and because they tend to be more fussy about overseas visa rules (that they often know less about). sarp
