Default My Thai Wife

I have a young Thai wife who hails from the NorthEast part ofThailand.

She has a 3rd grade education and I met her in a Pattaya Go Go Bar.

I work for Chevron Oil and earn close to $100,000 every year
exploiting poor countries for their natural resources.

I send her family 30,000 baht every month because I respect her and
the Thai culture.

We also own a house in Chaiyapum with a rice farm attached , I am an
expat over there when I am not in Oakland California.

Please do not be jealous of me.

Is $100,000 considered to be good pay for that type of work?

Well not really , I'm not even mid-level - but it keeps my wife and
family in the poorest part of Thailand with a 30,000 baht a month
stipend.

Fair enough, good for you, but what exactly is the point of this post?

I am an expat.

I would suspect you are not the only one in this group.

My visa stands true.

Congratulations.

And happy trolling by the way, you're not winding me up my friend.
Nice try to stir up the old Asian expat discussion again though.

Did I mention that my wife is from Chaiyapum and I own a house there ?

How much do houses cost in Chaiyapum? I mean for a small one (maybe about
2000 square feet) built in accordance with Western construction and safety
codes.

I paid 600,000 but my wife owned the land.

There is no such thing as "western construction and safety codes" in
Thailand , if that is what you are looking for I suggest you stay
home.
