Default Recommendations for the perfect climate?

I was wondering where in the world you would recommend for the perfect
climate?

This would also include having little danger of hurricanes, volcanic
activity, earthquakes, etc.

Southern Ontario has a temperate climate that rarely goes over 90 F or
under 0. We get enough rain that we don't have to worry about drought
and good enough drainage not to have to worry about floods. We rarely get
blizzards or tornadoes, and every few decades we catch the tail end of a
hurricane. We don't get earthquakes or volcanoes. It isn't the type of
climate that allows al fresco dining all year by any means, but the
weather and geological activity won't kill you either.

On that basis anywhere in England will score higher.

Personally I'd take Northern Arizona, summer is warm
and while it cools off enough in winter to allow spending a
morning skiing you can drive south for a an hour or two
and play a round of golf in the warm sunshine in the
afternoon.

You must be talking about Flagstaff, because other areas of northern Arizona,
such as Kayenta don't fit that description at all! KM

Indeed microclimates are like that.

Yes, Arizona has quite a range of microclimates. KM

Southern Ontario sounds really nice.

Doesn't southern Ontario have the same weather as northern Minnesota? I
guess different people have different concepts of "cold". Personally, I
think 0C is cold. I wouldn't mind if I never see 0F again in my life.

It's all relative. After a couple weeks of -40F, 0F seems really nice and
after a couple weeks of 0F, 0C makes you want to take your shirt off and
head for the beach...
