Default OT----Prince Harry

Why is it that the jewish community is upset with the Prince's behavior at a
costume party wearing a German Uniform with a swastika armband on it?

This same group of jewish do gooders wants the Prince to go to the Auschwitz
death camp for a some reason beyond me. All for a costume?
..

I say........who cares. Why such an outrage? I bet 80%, if not more of the
jewish population, drives a Mercedes or an Audi. You think we non jews
should demand that they trade them in for a good old USA auto if they live
here? I bet they even eat and drink German products. I don't see any
boycott or protests over German goods. Why? Because the Jews know a bargain
when they see one and the Prince has nothing to offer.

I wont forget what the Germans did in the death camps. So please stop
reminding me already and move on. Let the kid be a kid.

Regardless of how you feel about swastikas, the sad thing here is he is
trying to be a kid but rarely is allowed to.

I tend to agree... A big hoopla over nothing. ...It's funny, when I was
a kid it was always the "Germans" who the allied forces were at war
with. Now it's politically incorrect for anyone to say that... One must
use the term: Natzis. ...I guess the fact that hitler got in with a
ridiculous 97% vote, is irrelevant. ...Even at my age, I'm seeing
history being re-written before my eyes. The thing is, one cannot alter
what has already happened-- we can only do our best to see it doesn't
happen again. ...However...If I choose to wear a particular outfit to a
party, it doesn't mean I'm an advocate for whatever it represented in
the past. If this is the case, perhaps we should ban Indian, Pirate,
Roman, Cowboy, and a multitude of other costumes. ...Jon

Because the swastika is a reminder of the anihilation of millions of
Jews during a very dark time in world history? Because there's nothing
positive to say about the symbol? Because neo-Nazi groups around the
world might interpret his sporting the symbol as support for their
cause?

A reminder of what the swastika meant is not out of order.

Get a grip. Besides, just as American's today don't want to be blamed
for slavery or the Indian slaughter, neither should the Germans making
these cars be blamed for their grand-parents atrocities.

You think we non jews

I don't understand your point here.

I bet they even eat and drink German products. I don't see any
boycott or protests over German goods. Why?

Good question. Why should there be boycotts and protests? I do know
many Jews that wouldn't think of buying anything German, and that's
certainly their choice. I, on the other hand, have no problem spending
money on German products. Today's Germany, thankfully, is not the same
Germany that the swastika represents.

Because the Jews know a bargain
when they see one and the Prince has nothing to offer.

Explain, please.

He's hardly a kid anymore and should have known better. He showed
incredibly poor judgement. Diana would have been terribly disappointed
in his lack of compassion for those that suffered and continue to
suffer today. It was bad form plain and simple.

He did, as do many other kids his age, and some do things that are
dangerous and harmful to others.

Yes, but pleased with his charity work in Africa. Kids, overall, do
things that are disappointing at times. Even scary. Thankfully, they do
wonderful things as well.

I think you are putting too much emphasis on a symbol. As I said before,
lets move on.

Ben

I can not believe the tremendous amount of pressure this kid is under. Being
politically correct is the furthest thing in his mind.

I was more concerned to see him smoking.
