How long does a US visa last?
I am a UK citizen wishing to go to the US for a visit. I may not
qualify for the visa waiver scheme. If I have to get a visa, how long is it valid for? -- Alasdair Baxter, Nottingham, UK.Tel +44 115 9705100; Fax +44 115 9423263 "It's not what you say that matters but how you say it. It's not what you do that matters but how you do it" |

How long does a US visa last?
Up to 10 years, but can be shorter.... depending on the decision of the US
Embassy itself. It also technically 'dies' on the death of the passport..... you can use it for one more visit (ie bring old passport along with new passport)... at that point it will be stamped as expired). How long does a US visa last?
Are you sure you won't qualify first? If not then it will cost you £67 and a visit to the embassy to get a visa and there is a waiting list for apppointments so make sure you do it in plenty of time.As already said it should last 10 years

If you are willing to pay for assistance with the beaurocracy, I recommend the following London law firm: www.usvisalaw.co.uk/non.htm They should help you with your options, fill in the form correctly and get it processed quicker. Get a quote but I would be surprised if it was more than half the price of a transatlantic ticket. |
