What is the best time to visit SF and bay area in the fall? Is the 2
last weeks of September a good time? Or better the 2 first weeks of
October?

You aleady have ten responses. I disagree with none. You can find an
annual temperature chart, as well as a great deal of otehr
information, at the site at Right in the sig.

By state law they're all supposed to be non-smoking.

The cited web page does note that legally all such places are
supposed to be smoke-free, and, the subject line notwithstanding,
the page begins by saying it isn't addressing restaurants becasue
they are, by and latge, smoke-free.

The page then goes on to list bars, etc, where the requirement is
actually enforced.

Most curious in it's way.

By the way, the thing is posted to quite a few web sites,
addressing other cities as well.

That doesn't really seem to happen. It doesn't freeze, so the trees seem to

We get fall foilage, but it's nothing spectacular. However, wine
country, a little North of San Francisco, is gorgeous in the fall with
all the vineyards changing color.
