Seattle - Starbucks
I hope this isn't too a dumb a question, but we (wife, myself and grown
son and daughter) will be spending a day in Seattle prior to an Alaska cruise in June. Son and I are big Starbuck coffee drinkers. Seeing as Seattle was the home of Starbucks, we're wondering if there is a Starbucks home store somewhere in the downtown area. We would just like to go there and check it out to see if anything special (and of course have a coffee while there). We'll be staying at the Westin. Also if anyone can recommend any good places to dine near the Westin, we sure would appreciate it. We especially like Italian, Chinese and seafood. |

Hello, I am both a Seattleite and Starbucks fan (enough so to even own some stock, but Howard still hasn't invited be over for dinner). The closest thing to a Starbuck 'homestore' is the original Starbucks coffee shop in the Pike Place Public Market. If you are staying in the Westin then you will have only a short walk to the market. The only unique thing I have found at the Pike Place store is a Pike Place coffee blend/roast (very good). The Pike Place store is also unique in that it has the old 'Market' look (no seating!) as opposed to the generic 'Starbucks' look. It is also full of tourists. Go. Enjoy. Have some coffee. Buy some beans. Enjoy your trip and all the parts of Seattle you visit. David S. |
