Anchorage temps vs Canada
Does Anchorage being close to the ocean make it warmer than inland cities in
Canada at the same latitude (or perhaps a lot southern). I don't know much about the temps of either areas. Tim |

The ocean warms in winter an cools in summer: The average low in Anchorage goes down to -12/-13 °C, with a record of -38, while way down south in Winnipeg the average low reaches -22/-23°C with a record of -49°C In summer the situation is vice versa: Then it's a lot warmer in continental climates like the southern parts of NWT, or Manitoba Jochen from Germany |
