Default Ireland

Hello,

My wife and I are frequent travelers from the US to Europe but we've not
been to Eire. We are looking to travel to Ireland in November of 2009 and we
are seeing conflicting reports of costs traveling in Ireland. Hotel costs
are easily found on the internet but recent guidebooks (2009 Frommers US for
example) suggest that menu prices of restaurants, et al, do not reflect the
current situation economically. Is Ireland an expensive place to visit?

Ireland, like most of the Euro zone, has become very expensive for us in
the UK because of the exchange rate. That may be the same for US
visitors.
