Default The Haunted Airbus Toilet

I recently flew Frankfurt-Istanbul on an Airbus A380-600.

I encountered a noise I have never heard before on a plane (or
anywhere else). In the left-hand toilet by the second-back pair
of exits. A VERY LOUD shrieking, gurgling noise like something
large and alien out of an H.P. Lovecraft story being devoured by
something even larger and more alien. Flushing the loo seemed
to induce a very brief blip in the sound.

What on earth might it have been?

Was Ralph Fiennes aboard the aircraft?

: Date: SATURDAY 22 DEC 07
: Flight: LH3344 Lufthansa
: Depart: FRANKFURT (FRA) at 2210 HRS

whatever that was. (Is there a simple way to find what what plane
filled a particular slot at some time in the past?) Big thing with
two wings and four engines.

Why can't they give plane models sensible names like "Floella-Mae",
"Polycarp" or "Murchadhadh"?

No you did NOT

The A380 is not scheduled to go into service until the start
of the next decade.

The A380 is ALREADY IN SERVICE, you stupid knuckle-dragging idiot.

GET OFF THESE NEWSGROUPS! YOU'RE TOO STUPID TO PARTICIPATE!

Look up the airline website for current flight schedules. With Lufthansa it
was obviously an A340-600 then. But not an A380-600, which doesn't exist.

Why can't they give plane models sensible names like "Floella-Mae",
"Polycarp" or "Murchadhadh"?

Well that may be sensible to some people. But not others. You can clearly
determine the manufacturer and history of aircraft type with the present
system.

Which makes it a big thing with two wings and *two* engines. Somebody's
counting skills are suspect. And according to Flightstats.com, it's
an Airbus A300-600 as well (LH 3345 being the A300-600 flying the
IST-FRA direction).

Other than the addition of two engines?

It's quite possible he was mistaken.
