Default Christmas in Costa Rica

Ok congratulations on your first visit to my country, if you are going to be
in the Capital, San José, what you can do is to go to the Fiestas de Zapote,
wich is something similar to a Fair, the only difference is that we have
Bull Riding and, also we have what we call, Toros a la Tica, which is a lot
of people get inside with the Bull and start running away from it.

Then, tipycal food is every where you go, specially our famous Tamales you
can get them anywhere and everywhere, they are made from meat, chicken and
pork mixed with cornflower, rice and some others spicies, you can drink
Aguadulce wich is made of sugar can honey, hot water and some milk if you
like it, if not you can drink it without it.But it is very difficult to give
you a specific list of thing that you can do over there, that is something
that you'll find out once you get there on your own, overrall Costa Rica is
a beauty from any point of view.

I hope you enjoy your stay in my Linda Costa Rica.

My girlfriend and I will be in Costa Rica over Christmas. Can anyone
offer advice on celebrating Christmas in CR as a first-time tourist?
Where to be? Interesting places to go to Church to experience Costa
Rican Christmas as a visitor? Special events to attend, where to eat?
Many thanks.

It may be worth a mention that Christmas in Costa Rica is a time for family
gathering and does not follow the commercial model that we have to endure in
North America.

Regards.
Ken.
