Default Interesting spots near Cahors

I'm driving a car up from Bilbao to Cologne next week, and will have a
few days to spare on the trip to do a little sightseeing. Looking at
the map, I thought the Lot valley esat of Cahors might be interesting.
Anyone recommend it? Other suggestions/alternatives?

If you like slow roads and roman churches, it is surely a good choice.
It is a part of the Santiago de Compostela path : Aubrac, St Come d'Olt
Estaing, Conques (***), Figeac, Saint-Cirq la Popie, Marcilhac,
Rocamadour.

Excellent! I covered nearly 300km of Camino last year, certainly I'm
interested in seeing some more. Thanks for the tip.

Conques is, to my mind, one of the most endearingly situated cities of
France and certainly worth the trip. Two years ago we met up with a bunch of
Dutch pilgrims to St. Iago who were having lunch in one of the restaurants
overlooking the Church. Make sure to see the reliquary.

Cahors wine is worth buying we have been privately importing it on and
off for 20 years.

Rocamadour is a very interesting and picturesque place. And if you want to
travel a little further to the southeast, Albi is a beautiful town with the most
impressive Toulouse-Lautrec museum.
