How is is possible to fly from Beiruit to Mexico City without going
through the USA?
I just heard of one guy from Lebanon who bribed a Mexican official in
Lebanon for a
visa to go to Mexico, then snuk into the USA going overland. I thought you
could not get
from any point in the Mideast, to Mexico, without at least ONE stop in the
USA.

There's non-stop service from the major European airports plus Madrid.

Lots of routings, none involving the USA (all through France, Germany, or
the Netherlands).

Via Europe. Lots of direct Europe - Mexico City flights that don't stop in
the USA.

There are many flights to Mexico to many other countries, not just the US.
Even it involved multiple hops, would that stop a terrorist who really
wanted to get to Mexico?

Miss L. Toe muttered....

If you can get to the UK I can get you a direct flight from London to
Cancun for under 300 GBP.

.....But if slipping across the US Border is the traveler's intent, be
advised that it is a very long walk from Cancun to the Rio Bravo del
Norte/Rio Grande (same river, but different name on either bank thereof).
Along the way, the traveler will encounter bands of inoffensive mojados
hiking North with whom to sing and dance as they ascend and descend the
Sierras, but beware of coyotes who will steal passports, wallets, and slit
the unwary from guzzle to satch, leaving their victims to dry in the sun,
soon to become leather-clad bags of bones on the high Cordillera.

.......and while traipsing across the Yucatan, beware of cenotes,
substantial pitfalls for the unwary.

He also wouldn't have to cross Rio Bravo to get into the US. From
Cancun, a nice boat trip to a Gulf state might be more desirable than a
road trip. If he goes to the Golf Gulf state, he might even want pretend
to be Cuban to take advantage of the feet dry part of the US Feet Wet/
Feet Dry policy on immigration.
