I have read enough to know that what you said is not true.

Come on Padraig, you're doing a Mixi now.

No, I'm being myself here. In all reasonable discourse, the burden of
proof lies on the person making the claim.

Maybe so, maybe not.

Martin claimed that Mixi
had said a number of things. I remembered differently, and checked.
Martin was wrong.

It's not for me to prove a negative; it's for Martin to prove the
truth of what he said,

So what exactly was it you objected to? I couldn't tell, apart from
"everything", which is not really very helpful.

I never saw any address posted for it, so I have no basis to
judge that.

You can start he http://mxsmanic.com/
and there's a link to some photos, where it says "Copyright ©

And then you can get he http://www.atkielski.com/

and not working in a hospital? Where do you get your facts from?

The last study I saw on the common cold and related diseases.

Working in a hospital apparently is not as risky.

On this part, you are right - teachers are extremely prone to catch
colds and other related contagious illnesses.

This is true, but I'm not sure why that's the case. I do a lot of
education work in different parts of the UK, and come into contact with
thousands of school pupils every year, but I don't get many colds, or
anything else. I meet a lot of teachers, and I notice that some are more
stressed than others, and off work more frequently. I'm not about to
blame the teachers, because I know it can be a very stressful job, but
I'm not convinced that it's the exposure to bugs _alone_ which is the
factor.

I think the "catalysis" factor is written in clear letters in the quoted
above) - stress! which is known to put a big strain onto the immune
system..

It's not stress. Teachers are simply exposed to more germs for a
longer period, thus they are more likely to ingest an infectious dose.

Why? You're fun, Mixi, if exasperating at times. Why else do you think
we spend so much time with you?

Because I scare you.
