4 days 3 nights departing Sydney

coming Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue. Any idea? Probably driving out from Sydney due
to cost issue (more expensive flying and renting a car).

Would like to see sea of wildflowers/blooming trees, good country
park/rain forest, enjoy FRESH oysters, do horse-riding. Water sports
fine but prefer a good beach (wife not swimming).

Any idea?

Are you flying into Sydney?

Are you flying out from Sydney?

Are you driving into Sydney?

Are you driving out from Sydney?

As for a "sea of wildflowers" at this time of year (specifically October)
most flowering is close to an end.

One exception may be Grafton in the Northern Rivers District of NSW.

Another exception may be the New England District of NSW i.e. along the New
England Highway north of Tamworth.

Just bear in mind that the Eastern states of Australia and parts of South
Australia, are in the grip of the worst drought for at least 100 years.

Everywhere is beginning to "brown off" and the risk of bush fires rises
daily.

Oysters are grown commercially in large numbers and sell cheaply at the twin
towns of Forster-Tuncurry on the NSW coast north of Sydney. There are other
areas of course but that one is on the way to Grafton.

I live in Sydney and so will be departing from Sydney :-)

really? I am still waiting for Lavendar and sunflowers, if any .... =-O

Thanks but Tamworth may be a bit too far away if I am driving ...

yeah, oysters is something in my mind. Probably Manning Point near
Taree. Any comment? I may try those in Forster-Tuncurry.

Fly to Perth, rent a car and drive to Albany. The area just to the east of
the town (eg the road to Ledge Beach) is awash with wildflowers right now.
Was there last week and was blown away.
