Default Radio and Laptop on Quantas

Is using a simple AM/AFM radio and a laptop allowed on a UK to Australia
quantas flight ? Do they scan and or inspect itmes like these for security
reasons ? It is ok to carry and use these ?

If a laptop is ok is there any internet access available, if so how does
this work ?

QANTAS!!!!!

NO 'U'!!!!

No internet in the air either; but radios and laptops are fine after
take-off, provided you use earphones with the radio - and understand you'll
not stay in range of any one station for long!

So what about the security checks for laptops, removal of battery etc ?

Is'nt net access available / possible nowadays, thought it was ?

Depends on the level of security, but most places will at least make you
open them up.

Not on Qantas until 2006.

Security is not airline specific. Each airport authority provides security
services - and they're stringent everywhere!!!
