Ooooh, Pat.
You shouldn't do that when I'm drinking tea at the computer!!!

(I hate to say it, but "web.tv")

Sorry Liz, I couldn`t not comment! I`m still amazed to learn that
Hans Georg has been to Kenya already without me knowing ( see thread on
tick bites) We can`t go this year as we are going to NZ to see our
son.
How about you this year?

Although I'm really, really keen to go back to East Africa, the
situation, happily for them, sadly for me, is that they are so full in
July that they aren't dropping single supplements even at this late
date, as far as I can make out, so I'm going to Galapagos again.

(Just think, I may be interpreting things wrongly, in which case
whenever an east African lodge has a room free in July, they could
have had me staying the better one than none!)

Under these circumstances, plus the fact that, having had six trips
with only D and me in the vehicle, I really don't want to go in a
busful of newbies not interested in photography, I'm not sure if I'll
get back before I retire.

:-(((
(The Galapagos are great, but my journeying heart belongs to, and
yearns for, Africa.)

But I'm getting a nice vicarious 'buzz' from Geldof in Africa.

Yes, so am I. I also bought the book yesterday for half price in a
well known supermarket. I think Bob is doing the programmes well. Have
you also checked "Africa Lives?" at the BBC online website? There`s a
wealth of information there.
I hope we both get to visit East Africa before too long!
Best wishes,
Pat
