Best candy stores in North America?
In Chicago, there's Ethel's Chocolate Lounge
in the new North Bridge mall (Nordstrom's) on Michigan Avenue by the Chicago River and the Chicago Tribune Building, and 900 North Michigan. Chocolates, coffees, teas. Moonstruck Chocolates is based in Portland, Oregon with 3 or 4 outlets locally, plus cafes in Seattle, San Francisco and Chicago. gld |

Best candy stores in North America?
Skookum wrote: Funny you should mention the Candy Bowl because I lived in Halifax from 1968 to 1980 but hadn't thought about that delightful little place until now. I always used to go down there for stocking stuffers. The best candy stoe in Halifax now is called The Freak Lunchbox...wide assortment of hard to find stuff plus a lot of the golden oldies.... |

Best candy stores in North America?
We have the Nutty Chocolatier in Ontario. Victorian style candy shop,
wooden floors with tall old-fashioned glass candy counters. The shops are a delight to explore and the smells are wonderful. They began with a little store in Port Perry over the years have expanded to about 9 stores in various cities in the province...so I guess it has become a chain. Each store still has the same old charm though. http://www.nuttychocolatier.com/index2.html "Skookum" wrote in message ups.com... I have begun to consider getting into the business of opening a great all around candy store - lots of chocolates but also retro type candies (chicken bones! bubble gum cigars), probably some other stuff I haven't even though of. When I do this I want being in the store to be an experience itself. My question is what candy stores any where in Canada and the US are really great, perhaps even worth visiting as I do my not altogether unpleasant "research" for this prospective enterprise? I'm looking for places that have great ambienece and great product lines (not chains). |

It is fantastic. |
