Nah, but it's possible. Taking a risk implies the possibility of it
going bad.

how about taking up the offer and : if you a. fancy the girl b. need the
money
or c. like the idea of the trip. then,

notify your friends and relatives of the possible dangers and get contact
details of authorities and consulates, etc that friends could contact in
china. then take a laptop and gps. emailing your gps co-ordinates with
description of family members etc every evening. with instructions that
authorities are contacted if you dont report in for a couple of days. i.e.
leave a careful trail. after a few days you will be really paranoid, but
fairly safe
if your tell any bad people you meet, exactly what you have done....do you
think?

So if Bond and Batman had a baby, it would be you? Eeeck!!!

The long hands of criminals can be very far-reaching, even today.
Don't laugh it off.

I would get a tracking device implanted. That way your friends and
relatives can track you via satellite every minute.

If you are that worried, there is a simple solution. Say no.

Did it occur to anybody that taking up this offer involves cheating the
parents and relatives of this girl? I wouldn't have a good feeling
posing as boyfriend for the family of this girl.

I suppose you have never lied to your parents.

Besides this is a troll. Just having some fun.
