Default Recommendations needed for Egypt tour companies

I am planning to visit Egypt in the Fall 2008. I also want to visit
Morocco. Am looking for information/recommendations on whether this is
possible. I realize that I won't be able to visit every place, so will
need to stick to the main sights, but am looking for possibilities. My
plan is to spend 5 days in Egypt and 4 in Morocco.
Has anyone done something like this? Is this doable?
I have been checking several sites for information, recommendations,
but am currently going thru information overload.
Plan is to fly into Cairo, complete Egypt, then fly to Rabat/
Casablanca, finish Morocco, then back to Cairo for return. Any other
ideas?
Any recommendations of itinerary? What would be the not-to-miss sites
to visit in Egypt and in Morrocco?
Any recommendations for hotels? Any information will help.
Thanks.
Mark Sabatini

Ok I am convinced now. I am going for Egypt then.
Next question: Any recommendations for tour companies that take care
of hotels and tours? We are a family of 4 if that matters.

Advisable to book on my own - air, hotel, tours etc? The problem is I
don't know how long to spend in any one place. For e.g. is 2 days
enough for Cairo, so I will need to book a hotel for 2 days.
Similarly for each of the other cities/towns. Difficult to book days
in each city and then keep a travel schedule.
How did you tour Egypt? Any websites, suggestions for more
information?
Thanks.

Book flights to Egypt yourself, then do a tour - in the cool season!
Drop Hamed el Gabry a line at http://www.deltatoursegypt.com/index.htm
He'll sort you out.

Default Recommendations needed for Egypt tour companies

Hello Mark,

I do not know exactly places of interest in Egypt but I highly recommend
Wings Tours Egypt. As per me, I venture in planning, consulting,
facilitating and coordinating diverse adventure in wildlife safaris, beach
holidays, group safaris, mountaineering, cultural tours, rafting, historical
sutes tours, city tours and hotel/lodge booking and reservation in East
Afica. For wings Tours Egypt I trust they have all you need to make your
trip of a lifetime!!

I've only been to Egypt once and that was some time ago so I may be
out of date, but if you're interested in a fairly relaxed tour of the
main archeological sites I'd suggest looking into a Nile Cruise from
Luxor to Aswan as part of your visit. There is a lot to be said for
taking your hotel room with you as you travel. I found it very
enjoyable.

Email me next May, when I get back from my next rtw trip.
I'm booked with Osoris tours
www.osoris.com for a nine-night
trip commencing 25th March, but I won't be answering emails
after I depart Oz in early March until late April.

My custom-designed trip includes a couple of days at start
and finish in Cairo, the sleeper train to Aswan, day trip
(A/C car) to Abu Simbel, three nights on the boat Aswan to
Luxor, air back to Cairo. I'll have a personal
"Egyptologist" and driver most of the time. Price is
excellent for me traveling as a single but I won't quote it
here.

As to whether they are good, bad or wonderful - ask me then.

In your own situation for 5 nights in Egypt I would spend
the first and last in Cairo/Giza (Pyramids the main focus on
one day, museum on the other) and the three between on a
boat from Aswan to Luxor, flying to and from those cities.

Cheers, Alan, Australia
