They got a little too bold after their successes against superpowers like Panama and Grenada. They did okay in the Gulf War because they had lots of help, and a family run regime that needed to be bailed out. That boosted their confidence enough to think they should invade Afghanistan and Iraq and they are pinned down there for a while. |
