Default Event-dresscode "no timberlands"

It might be a strange question, but being new to the US, i came upon
an event, music for about 20-30years-old, where the dresscode states
"casual, no timberlands".

They're talking about yellow hiking boots. I presume the music event is one
that would draw young urban black males, who are the most likely to wear
those to a concert. From my experience with these things I would guess a
young black woman made the rule (which is neither here nor there, I guess).
