Default AffoirdableTours scam

Looked at the Affordable tours website, saw a 12 day cruise leaving from
Barcelona, Spain, inside cabin $1199, outside $1399, and balcony $1499.
I called for a quote and got $2020 inside and $1499 airfare. Expedia shows a
$950 airfare. When I complained, the rep said "read the disclaimer".
I had used Affordable tours before, but never again.

scam

1. a confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, esp. for making a
quick profit; swindle.
-verb (used with object)
2. to cheat or defraud with a scam.

So, how is Affordable Tours scamming you?

I didn't go to their website, but I'm guessing that the lower pricing
is available for "some" dates, just not the ones on which you were
interested in sailing? All the websites do that. They say something
like "prices starting from...", you plug in your dates and then you
see what their price is.

As far as the airfare goes, they're probably quoting you air purchased
through the cruise line, which is almost always more expensive than
booking yourself, as many here will attest to.

You're free to make your purchases with whomever you please, but if
you don't agree with pricing by a particular vendor...that's not a
scam.

(btw...what did the disclaimer say, that the rep was referring to?)
