You forgot to say that the odds of WINNING your free cruise is at most

1/10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000

if that much.

SPAM!!! SCRAM!!!

Why would you say that. It would 1/1500 but you have to make 10 posts
to be entered so the odds drop down since only about 30% are "active
users".

Which then makes chances around 1/450

Where do you get your figures? Stop trying to ruin a good thing for
people.

Because that's what you make the SPAMMED think their chances are.

I get my figure because I am a professional statistician. I was
giving you the benefit of the doubt that your "drawing" mechanism
will produce a probability of

1/10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000.

Thats just short of being ZERO.

Who is going to be witnessing the "drawing"? Who is to know that
the winner (if there's indeed one) is not your pre-chosen relative
or friend?

Some of us weren't born yesterday, ya know?

You must have been burned in the past. It's called reputation. I
own/run many sites and we giveaway prizes all the time. It's not that
hard to write a script to randomly select 1 person from 450.

And the person that wins I'm sure can validate that they won.

Stop being a sore loser, there are legit people in the world.

Just what in the world gives you the right to solicit business on this
newsgroup? Keep you stupid cruise, it probably is the lowest class you
can find anyway, and I certainly agree with Reef Fish that the odds of
winning are far greater than 1 in a million. You are nothing but a scam
artist and are certainly not welcome on this newsgroup, unless your
comments are unbiased, to the point, and without any hint or indication
of advertising of any kind. So long, loser!

THere is no cost, you know. So, it's not like he is trying to take your
money to enter the thing.

Rex, one problem I see with this is that the last group of people may
miss out, since you indicate the cruise will be given away when 1500
people have registered. The new people might not be able to get in 10
posts before you have the drawing.

Um, can I enter without posting? Seems you might be running afoul of
some federal regs regarding contests.

Linux, it's not just an OS, it's a way
of life.

And a damn fine one, at that.

mrtravel, the man with a thousand aliases and long time USENET poster,
you should know better than that!

First: It's strictly against USENET guidelines to post ADS in ngs
as Rex did.

Second: Are you really that dumb to enter all "free" drawings because
you think there's no cost? The TIME to enter is cost. The
giving away of your name and addresses is the much worse
HIDDEN cost, of getting spammed by the spammer and all those
other spammers to whom Rex may sell his mailing list.

Therefo I NEVER enter any "no cost" drawings.
