Only thing with Access America if you have to cancel more then once
they will not want to insure you again..... We used this company alot
and because a family had to cancel and then we had one other
cancelation they said we could not use them any longer because it is
excessive. UNREAL. So now we use Travel Safe and travel Insured, CSA
for last min who want Pre exostomg coverage and Travel Ex that is a
Primary not a secondary insurance...

So in other words, they just want to take your money and never pay
out....nice.

Yes, there is one company that offers trip cancellation by itself,
globaltravelshield.com, but don't expect it to be less expensive than
a comprehensive package plan because in most cases that I've seen it
more expensive.

Just like every insurance company.

When we lived in Dallas, I was broadsided by a DUI. GEICO dropped me
within ten days of getting the car back. ME!

I used to sell Travel Guard almost exclusivly. Now TI has a much
easier website, pays commissions promptly and has been much easier to
work with on the two claims I've dealt with.

I do like travel Safe and travel insured alot. Access America left a
bad taste to me... Just because a family had to cancel due to a
emergency surgery and one other cancellation a year previously they
hold me accountable! So I guess I should say OH BTW buy insurance but
DO NOT even think of putting a claim in or you will tick me off! LIKE
its my fault so the whole agency is cancelled from using it. DUMB I
say drop the PERSON from using it if they keep buying and then
needing to use it but the agency??? and the worst part is calling AA
they were not at alllllll friendly about it, the Local sales manager
was actually a rude woman.

But insurance companies are not in business to pay out .. Like
Homeowners Insurance you put in small claims you get dropped. I was
told they much rather you put in a BIG claim then small claims...

In San Antonio, I was parked near the Alamo and someone hit my car. The
insurance company canceled me, and I was not even in the car, it was
legally parked in a parking space.

My mom had the same happen to her about 30 years ago - she was hit
while parked, and then she was waiting to turn left (stopped) and she
was hit.

I had my car totaled by an un-insured driver who ran a red light and
then my husband's car was parked and jumped out of park and drifted
back across the parking lot and scratched the bumper of another car
and they not only raised our insurance, but I had to sue them to get
them to cover my injuries from the first instance.

We went to Belize by air, and on the way back, there was a mix-up in
our reservations and it looked like we might not get back to the
Belize international airport in time to fly home. I asked if I could
have claimed on the insurance had that happened and the insurance
company said no that I could not. I don't remember the reason that
they gave, but it made me much less likely to buy insurance for trips
and for cars, I reduced everything back to the minimum allowed for
everything except liability.

Any other accidents or tickets?

My insurance companies regards that situation as non-chargeable.

I've had that happen to me several times and it never showed up as any
type or rating. My daughter was hit from the back while stopped at a
light by a stolen vehicle. The driver took off when she said she was
calling the police. She didn't know the vehicle was stolen but I got
suspicious of the whole situation and told her to call. She didn't get
rated for that.
