Default Air New Zealand Announces South Pacific Star Alliance Fare

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-
Through a partnership with fellow Star Alliance member United
Airlines, Air New Zealand has a special fare starting at $1,418.00
that includes flights from Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia, via
Auckland, New Zealand, with one free stopover enroute in Auckland, or
in Papeete, Tahiti; Rarotonga in the Cook Islands; or Nadi, Fiji. For
an additional $150 per stop, passengers may add three additional
island stopovers to their routing. From the islands, passengers will
continue southbound to Auckland, then transit to Australia. From
Sydney, passengers will fly directly back to Los Angeles.

"Combining a visit to Australia with a stop in either the South
Pacific or New Zealand makes sense for visitors from North America,"
said Air New Zealand Vice President - Western Region, Gerard Gilmore.
"The South Pacific Star Alliance Fare combines your choice of two or
more very different experiences rolled into one dream vacation."

Tickets may be booked through travel agents or directly with the
airline by calling 1-800-369-6867 or by visiting
www.airnewzealand.com/usa. The starting fare of $1,418.00 is valid
April 26-June 17, 2004, and does not include taxes. Fares are
available year round; however, some seasonal rate variations apply.
Special restrictions, terms and conditions apply. Children's fares are
available. Minimum stay is seven days, maximum stay is three months.
Northbound flights from Sydney to Los Angeles are operated by United
Airlines. All other flights operated by Air New Zealand.

No one brings you closer to New Zealand. Air New Zealand offers more
direct flights to the South Pacific than any other airline, including
a total of 36 flights per week from Los Angeles and Honolulu to the
United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tahiti, the Cook
Islands, Tonga and Samoa. Beginning June 30, 2004, Air New Zealand
will commence thrice-weekly service direct from San Francisco
International Airport to Auckland. The readers of Conde Nast Traveler
and Travel & Leisure magazines consistently rate Air New Zealand among
the world's best international airlines.

Visit Air New Zealand online at www.airnewzealand.com/usa for web
specials or call 1-800-369-6867.
