Road Trip Experience?

Does anyone have road trip experience driving a Honda Odyssey, preferably an
'07 or '08? Reason for the question is that we're thinking of buying an '08
Honda Odyssey to use for our cross-country (US) road trips (we do about
12,000 miles a trip). We're especially interested in seat comfort and
long-haul reliability. Ordinarily, before buying a car, we would rent one
for a week or so to try out on some local 200-300 mile trips. However, I
can't find any rental companies that rent Hondas, not to mention the
Odyssey.

We would appreciate the benefit of anyone's road trip experience with an
Odyssey (or if you know who rents Odysseys).

A friend of mine has a 2008 Odyssey. The day after he bought it, my
friend, his wife, their two boys, me, another friend, and two others
(eight people in all) piled into the new minivan and we drove several
hours to Hershey Park. I was in the middle seat. The ride was fine. My
friend has all the options (GPS, DVD player, etc.) so we put a movie on
for the kids, and I put on my iPod, and we were fine.
