Edmonton Canada, now trying to fight worldwide bad publicity, is paying
$175,000 for one year of service, to a Toronto publicity firm.

Apparently, no BS/PR firm in Edmonton was capable of countering all the bad
international publicity Edmonton has been receiving in recent years.

Publicity about Edmonton has mainly centered on the criminal acts of its
Gestapo-like thug police.

Who can forget the worldwide publicity when the police beat the 66 year old
lawyer, for his taking photos of the police brutalising the 21 year old woman?

Police regulalry are charged with torturing and beating up innocent civilians,
whether visitors or local residents. Some have even been killed by the cops.

Who can forget all the criminal charges against Edmonton police, for hiring
contract killers to kill a cop's wife, torture of civilians on a regular
basis, and never forget all the scandals involving the past 4 police chiefs!!

Then, of course, there is the worldwide recognition that Edmonton is known as
the POTHOLE CITY!!

The city can not fix potholes, but does give for 3 years in a row $650,000 a
year for the Triple5 Grand Prix Car Race!!

And do not forget, unlike sensible cities, Edmonton refuses to clear
snowdrifts off city streets in winter.

As for local sights, even the jew mare is now complaining about all the
aggressive panhandlers [beggars] harassing tourists and locals alike!!

Welfare is the second major business in town, after all the governments, with
welfare bums sleeping in many parks, while they use their illegal substances.

The cost of housing is now so high, even overpaid football players were on TV
complaining that they could not find reasonably priced rental facilities.

As for tourists, most are now avoiding the dump.
Tour operators in Germany and Holland have started a major BOYCOTT of all of
Canada.

Airlines are avoiding Edmonton, because of exorbitant charges by the airport,
which isn't even in Edmonton, but more than 50km from the city center!

making them very unsafe.

All the garbage on the rods and in city parks.

And, never forget the hundreds of thousands of POTHOLES in city roads,
caused by substandard city road construction, so that the favoured
city contracting firms get repeat business each year, instead of doing
the job properly the first time!!

Corruption is in many departments, usually at the senior levels of
management.

In the Police department there are several cases worth discussion.
City council stupidly agreed to give the police chief another $6.3
MILLION, supposedly to hire another 27 cops.

Since new recruits start at only $36,000 per man, who gets the extra
$5.6 MILLION? The chief and his buddies?

Quite apart from the fact that there was in fact a SAVING of more than
$2 MILLION in payroll, because there are 30 overpaid senior cops reiring
this year!! The deadwood cops get between $80,000-$140,000,total around $3
MILLION, while the recruits get only $36K - total of $ONE MILLION!!

Is this more graft and corruption?
The Audtor for Edmonton MUST investigate!!

The local chief cop is quoted in today's Sun as complaining about not
being able to raise the pay for new cop recruits.

The Chief is responsible for WASTING OVER $ONE MILLION,
by having already 8 uselss hacks and flacks in the police BS section.
To add insult to injury, they hired hack #9, at an advertised base
salary of over $95,000! That means a taxpayer cost of over A MILLION
DOLLARS FOR THE BS SECTION OF THE POLICE!!

That money could have been used to hire at least another 25 new
recruits, who might have been helpful in catching criminals, when not
sitting in coffee shops!

Mind you, with what the chief and deputy chiefs get paid, why can't
they themselves do their own press conferences, since they are
supposed to be fluent in English?

To add insult to injury, the CPRN - Community Police Radio Network -
comprised of thousandfs of stupid local citizens, have to supply their
own vehicles, gas,radio equipment and even pay for their uniforms, just to
do the work of the cops who should be hired instead of the useless BS/PR
staff!!

When the media must expose the fact that Deadmonton has an abysmal
record for arresting murderers compared to other cities, taxpayers
have a right to corelate the squandering of a $MILLION FOR HACKS & FLACKS,
instead of having proper police protection for our skyrocketing
taxes!!

No wonder this city needs the Guardian Angels.
At least they do not waste millions of taxpayer dollars!

This is the same cops who wasted $2.5 MILLION for a doghouse
for 10 mutts!!

The city tax assessment department is another bunch of crooks!
A private citizen had to take the city to tax court, and proved that a
lawyer had had his mansion DELIBERATELY UNDER-ASSESSED
BY HALF A MILLION DOLLARS, for 8 years at $149,500, instead
of $600,000!!

And do not forget the "donations" made by the mare and council to
their business friends, using taxpayer funds.

How about the $650,000 a year given to the West Edmonton Mall
car race in July.
This when the city claims to not have any money for snow removal in
the snow covered winters!!

Or, how about the reported $92 MILLION given to Dell Computers, to
come to Edmonton and create 500 call-center jobs, while HP Computers
set up an educational facility costing hundreds of millions but got
NOTHING from the city!!

And never forget the $600 MILLION from taxpayers given by a former
mayor and council for Triple5 and WEM!!

And huckster Gimble does not want all the bad news publicised.

Guess again Gimble. Now the flood of articles will be publicised even
wider, all around the world.

What about Edmonton's Grand Prix...I heard a lot of bad about it?

The West Edmonton Mall Grand Prix has cost taxpayers over $2 MILLION so far -
3 years @ $650,000 a year!!
This at a time that the city can not even afford to fix the hundreds of
thousands of potholes and sinkholes!!

As for Dell, the Edmonton Journal reported that the taxpayers gave Dell $92
MILLION, just to come to town and create a few call-center jobs!!

The city had refused to help Levi-Strauss keep 500 jobs in their jeans plant!!
