Samantha check out the Hong Kong pages on our website. I have been to

Honk
Kong twice. Enjoyed riding around on the streetcar, the Night Market,

The
Peak of course. Aberdeen Harbour, Stanley and Lantau etc etc.. It
depends what you like to do I am glad we took the opportunity to spend

some
time there en route to Vietnam and Bali.

Sorry folks, perhaps I should have said the Hong Kong page is on the China
site. Go to the China map and click on Hong
http://www.wright-photo.com/hong_kong_0.htm will take you directly to
the Honk Kong thumbnails

Planning to travel about 3 days in Hong Kong starting from 17 Nov. before
flying to Bangkok. Is there any interesting place in Hong Kong that I won't
be regretted if I plan of still going there. Otherwise, plan of going to
Bangkok straight.

Lots of interesting places, it would take much more than 3 days to see
all of them, but here are some ideas:

The Peak Tram and the view of the city from the top.
Traditional Chinese shops in Yau Ma Tei and Sheung Wan.
The Wong Tai Sin Buddhist temple
Lantau Island - the Big Buddha and the monastery atop the island and
the fishing village on the shore near the ferry port
The Chungking Mansions - like someone took a block from Lagos or Delhi
and plopped it down in the middle of Hong Kong
Tsim Sha Tsui at night - neon everywhere
Lan Kwai Fong for great nightlife
Afternoon tea at the Peninsula Hotel
Modern architecture in Central
Victoria Park on a Sunday when Hong Kong's Phillipine community comes
out
Macau - lots of Portuguese architecture and Chinese temples, and great
food combining Portuguese and Asian influences, the casinos are
fascinating to watch but don't gamble there since the odds are
terrible
Jade market - don't buy anything there but it's a good photo op.
Great restaurants representing every major region of China and almost
every country in Asia.

Things to avoid:

Hong Kong Heritage Museum
Floating restaurants
Electronics shops in Tsim Sha Tsui

Just wondering why the Hong Kong Heritage Museum is on the list of
things to avoid? Both my guidebooks rate it well and say its worth the
trek out there?

Thanks
